There are no nursing homes or assisted living centers for dogs in their senior years. And even if there were, there aren't many of us who could afford to place our dog in one.
So when your faithful friend begins to age the only one they have to depend upon is you.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE EMOTIONAL ISSUES YOU MAY BE FACING AS YOUR PET AGES:
- How can I best take care of my pet as it begins to age?
- How can I balance family, work and pet care?
-How do I juggle the vet visits, medicines, surgeries and nursing that my pet might need?
- How do I know when it is time to put my dog down? How can I prepare for that time that I know is coming?
- How do I emotionally survive this heart-wrenching time?
- How can I plan more me time with my pet?
-When will be ready to get a new dog?

I FEEL YOUR PAIN
I've been where you are and I feel your pain.
After taking intensive care of an aging pet for two years (on top of an aging parent), I had to put my darling Shih Tzu Starr down.
I did everything I could to keep Starr healthy and happy. She lived a great life. She was my child. In fact, she passed on at 17 years old (some children don't make it that long).
I have been through every emotion with my dog, but I finally had no choice but to make the gut-wrenching decision to not let her suffer.
As your Aging Pet Coach, I will help you reach deep within to make those hard decisions regarding your pet that you can still feel good about.
I specialize in dogs but my services are available to all pet owners.

What Is Sunset Coaching?
Sunset Coaching can be used in two ways:
#1. If you have an acute situation that comes up about the future of your pet and you need some coaching to get through it, this 30-minute call can help alleviate some of your angst and get to the core of what's best for you and your dog.
#2. You have to put your dog down very suddenly with no time to plan. On this call, while you're at the vet, we will give your dog an immediate memorial service over the phone and I will share some things you can do to help keep your dog's memory alive. You don't have to face this alone. Grief over a lost pet is very serious.
